Pink Lipstick
Strange - after reading your article I recall that every time I do wear pink lipstick I always feel a lot more uplifted - I have just gone through and updated the rest of my make-up too - thanks!

'Pretty Woman' & Pink Lipstick
I also found the piece about pink lipstick strangely engaging so much so that I went to my cosmetic purse and took a serious look at its contents, lipstick-wise.

'Pretty Woman' & Pink Lipstick
Who would have thought that our viewers would have picked 'Pretty Woman' as their favourite movie. I am so encouraged to find that romance is still alive and well. And why not. I often find on picking up the newspaper to read, that if the headlines are too horrific I go to a magazine section first. Or even to the world news to read something quirky rather than deal with the death of yet another small child at the hands of a caregiver. Give me escapism anytime.
Similarly with the incredible interest there was in a recent article on why pink lipstick works for 50+ women, it seems we really enjoy the chance to work on something easy and frivolous. By 50 we dealt with some fairly hard knocks just by staying upright as we navigate the decades. Pink lipstick really captured my attention when I first found a woman had devoted a whole chapter to it in a book. Yeh! I am about to go back and review the other chapters or simply take the time to watch the sun set. Here's to time out and escapism - what do you do to escape reality? I would love to hear from other participants in the forum. |
